Junk Mail

I am sure that everyone receives their share of Junk Mail. Call me strange but I like junk mail. Some of it is fun to look at and it certainly is better than bills. I received this in the mail the other day, just an insurance agent marketing for house insurance. I really didn't pay to much attention to it. But just as I was about to throw it away, I noticed the picture of the house on the front with the lovely Magnolia tree in bloom. Well I guess he has been taking photos of houses, because the house of this piece of mail is my little house! I scanned this so I don't know if you will be able to see it that good. Do you like Junk Mail??

Gee, they could have made it authentic and used your name! Instead of "James"

What a pretty home, I can see why they would want to use your house in their brochure

A photo of your house on the junk mail. What are the odds. You need to save this one.

Wow, there's a new gimmick. I think it's cool though that a picture of your house was used in the advertisement. DH and I hate junk mail.

Nope. Not a fan of junk mail.
He used your house for the ad??!!
That's odd because you probably don't have insurance through him.
Your house is pretty.
A lot of people saw your house in that ad and probably said to themselves, "What a quaint house. I'd like to have that lovely home."
:-)

Marla,

I love your little house with the magnolia tree. However, I think he should have asked your permission before he used the photograph.

I hate junk mail and bills also. LOL I want a real old fashioned piece of mail, like a letter or card.

Have a great weekend.
Blessings,
Mary

Hi Marla -- You have a very pretty home. I was thinking that as soon as I saw it. Of course calling my name (James) put me in a good mood.

I agree with Mary, he should have asked your permission. Why didn't he put his own home on the ad?

You might could get some of his commission for the use of the picture. Maybe more.
Do you know a (I could use another word or two here) good lawyer? One who would win for you if you had right to compensation and wouldn't charge you for his opinion.

Anyway, you home is well kept and looks very comfortable. Is it for sale?

I hate junk mail. It is a waste of paper and thus a waste of trees.

Your house looks so inviting. A great porch to have a cup of coffee.

That's a cool looking house and very American. I'm not sure I'd feel great about having my house printed on loads of leaflets I have to say.

I never look at junk mail. It goes straight into the recycling box!

I LOVE junk mail. It valiates that I am a real person. I love getting all mail, even bills. (But I don't like PAYING bills).

Your house is beautiful.

I think you should ask him for free insurance as he's using your house photo.

Your house is beautiful Marla. Hmm, can they use your house in their adds without your permission? You may have some leverage here my friend. :)

No I don't much care for junk mail. It's wasted paper and time while I have to sort through it just so I can throw it away.

Thanks for thinking of me today. I wasn't feeling well. Appreciated your concern.

The tree is gorgeous!
My junk mail is never that pretty. Although Jack and Randy seem to appreciate the Victoria's Secret cataloogues that we get. I'm not sure how I got on their list!?

Interesting... I agree, you should be compensated for the use of your property. Got a lawyer friend? I sure would ask. I mean, you do have a beautiful house, and that is a nice picture, but I would feel strange if I saw MY house on someone elses ad.

I love junk mail. I like to call too sometimes to ask for the offers that are too good to be true. When they say that something is free I say, ok send it to me and I will send you my credit card information if I like it. The goal is to make them hang up on you. It is fun, try it.

You have got to be kidding me! That is really cool. I'm going to start reading my junk mail from now on. Your house is indeed beautiful and it is no wonder he selected it for his ad.

I think the free insurance suggestion is good. Do you want me to call him for you?

And in case you peeked in earlier, I have now enabled comments for the lower post of today also. I was trying to get them all on one, the upper, post. Sorry,

Beautiful house...but what a shocker it must've been to find it in your mailbox!

You make me want to play more attention to my "junk mail." I usually bunch it up and throw it away as fast as it came in.

There should be a commission there somewhere.
