The Dash

Since the death of my husband I have been reflecting on what I have accomplished with my life. I wonder what people will say about me when I am gone. What will people say about you? Check this out!

Well that was timely for me. Thank you for pointing that one out. Tomorrow my family and I will be attending the funeral of a man who really did a lot with his dash. We were fortunate to be recipients of much of his input into life and fortunate enough to look beyond what people often saw in their first glance.

Thank you for sharing your life here, I have enjoyed my brief visit and I am sure that I will return.

Hello Maria
I attended a funeral recently where the pastor talked about the Dash.
Certainly made us sit up and think lol
Good luck in your new job and I will be back again to see how life is treating you
Take care
Cathy

I have read this story of "the dash" several times and it reminds me to be a good steward of this earth, love my family, and give unselfishly to others and just lead a good life.

It also reminds me of the parable in the bible of the ten virgins. How much oil do I have in my lamps, am I prepared when the bridegroom cometh?

We all need to remember that the dash might be little but it means a lot.....

I'm new to your blog, so I hadn't realized you lost your husband recently. I'm sorry for your loss. I read the post of the Last Dance and it bought tears to my eyes.

Hi Marla, I am hoping your new work assignment works out to be as nice as the one you just finished.

Thank you, Marla. That was nice.
I have seen it before, but it is always good to be reminded of it every so often.
